Dry Mixed Recycling
What is Dry Mixed Recycling (DMR)?
Dry Mixed Recycling is a broad term used to describe a range of different types of clean recycling waste that can easily be reused or reformed into other goods, products, or broken down into their core materials. At Fresh Start we separate recycling at our state of the art recycling facility to maximise the amount of DMR which can be recycled.

What can be recycled as DMR?
Not every material can be recycled through Dry Mixed Recycling, for some items there are other specialist services to collect these items separately. Keeping recyclable materials free from contamination maximises the amount that can be recycled.
Keep your DMR bin free from the following:
- Black bags
- Waxed paper
- crisp packets and sweet wrappers
- liquids, polystyrene, wood, glass and textiles
- Hard or rigid plastics like window frames, pipes or drums
- Any food residue in containers
- Hazardous materials (such as bleach, paint or other chemical containers)
