Kensington Palace to Host Prestigious Award Ceremony on November 18, 2024
Fresh Start Waste Services is proud to announce that its ‘Simpler Recycling for Schools’ campaign has been recognised as a winner in the International Green Apple Environment Awards 2024. This award celebrates the company’s commitment to promoting sustainable waste management and environmental education in schools and comes shortly following their shortlisting as a finalist in the MRW National Recycling Awards for the same campaign.
The Green Apple Awards recognise and reward environmental best practices worldwide, and Fresh Start Waste Services’ campaign stood out for its innovative approach to simplifying recycling processes within educational institutions. The initiative, which focuses on making recycling straightforward and engaging for students, staff, and the wider community, has had a significant impact by fostering a culture of sustainability.
Award Ceremony to Take Place at Kensington Palace
Originally scheduled to be held at the Houses of Parliament, the award ceremony has now been relocated to a more prestigious venue: The Orangery at Kensington Palace, West London. Kensington Palace, a residence of the Royal Family for more than 300 years and the former home of Princess Diana, will host the exclusive award event on Monday, November 18, 2024. The Orangery, set amidst tranquil gardens and recently restored, will host the event as one of only 20 invitation-only events allowed this year.
Sean Martins, Director of Sales and Marketing at Fresh Start, expressed his excitement about the recognition and the upcoming ceremony:
“Winning the Green Apple Award for our ‘Simpler Recycling for Schools’ campaign is an incredible honour. We are passionate about making a positive environmental impact and empowering schools to take the lead in sustainability. This recognition is a testament to the hard work of our team and the commitment of the schools we work with. We are thrilled to celebrate this achievement at such a prestigious venue as Kensington Palace,”
