We really do recycle your waste. Once we’ve completed your charity waste collection, we send everything to our dedicated materials recovery centre in Swinton. All mixed waste passes through the facility and is sorted to separate all recyclable materials.
Plastic from unusable toys, metal from broken appliances, soiled textiles, and even old batteries will all be processed.
Anything that cannot be reused or recycled will be sent to a waste-to-energy plant. For us, this is a last resort, and we are committed to making sure as much waste as possible is repurposed, supporting a circular economy and a greener future for all.
Watch our video to see how real recycling happens at our Swinton-based site.
We provide a full range of containers to handle charity sector waste, from simple recycling bins for use at retail units to larger bins for warehouses.
Our colour-coded wheelie bins make it easy to segregate your waste types. Choose standard wheelie bins or larger Eurobins.
Designed for large amounts of waste, our FEL skips have an enclosed lid to stop dirt, rain or wildlife from getting in.
Use our commercial skip hire service for one off clearances or as part of ongoing charity projects or events.
Not only do we offer full service waste solutions for every sector, we put sustainability first, and contribute to multiple community and charity projects. When you work with Fresh Start you benefit from:
Use our waste services to handle charity event waste. Whether a one day fundraiser or a series of awareness days, we can help you with the clear up.
All companies produce hazardous waste, and the charity sector can receive donations that could be dangerous. Exposed wires, old lithium batteries and even nail varnish need to be handled carefully by a licensed waste carrier.
As well as our efforts in creating a more sustainable future, we also work with a number of charitable organisations. Our partnership with Bulky Bobs means that unwanted furniture gets a new lease of life and helps to end furniture poverty.
Similarly, we support The Trussell Trust who endeavour to end food poverty with food banks across the UK.
