Fresh Start Waste Services has expanded its fleet with the delivery of a brand-new Volvo FM 6×2, rear steer refuse collection vehicle, handed over earlier this month by Neil Patton, Customer Solutions Manager at Thomas Hardie Commercials.
In a bold move away from their traditional livery, Fresh Start has given this new vehicle a distinctive identity. The truck has been fully wrapped in a striking cardboard-themed design, making it appear as though the vehicle itself is made of cardboard. This imaginative branding is a clever nod to the company’s commercial waste management services and highlights its expertise in cardboard and paper recycling.
Sean Martins, Director of Sales and Marketing at Fresh Start, said:
“Another way we’re making recycling impossible to ignore… quite literally! We’ve wrapped one of our new DMR wagons to look like the very thing it collects – cardboard. So if you spot a giant cardboard box on wheels rolling through the North West, don’t panic – it’s just us, out collecting and recycling hundreds of tonnes of cardboard, paper, plastic and cans every week.”
Sustainability has always been central to Fresh Start’s mission. By investing in the latest vehicle technologies and using creative communications like this new wrap, the business continues to demonstrate its commitment to minimising environmental impact while raising awareness of the importance of recycling across Greater Manchester and the North West.
Nicola McGrath, CEO of Fresh Start, added:
“This new vehicle is not just an addition to our fleet – it’s a symbol of our commitment to sustainability and innovation. The cardboard wrap is a fun but meaningful way of drawing attention to the importance of recycling and reusing resources. We’re delighted to work with Thomas Hardie Commercials on bringing this idea to life.”
The collaboration also reflects a shared vision between the two companies. Thomas Hardie Commercials, specialists in supplying and maintaining Volvo trucks, place a strong emphasis on sustainability and efficiency, ensuring vehicles like this play a positive role in reducing environmental impact.
The arrival of the cardboard wagon is another step in Fresh Start Waste’s ongoing journey to provide sustainable waste management solutions for its customers, while engaging the wider community with creative campaigns that make recycling accessible, relevant, and memorable.
