Carbon Conscious Fresh Start Waste further expand environmentally friendly fleet

Fresh Start Waste are continuing to enact their ‘Carbon Conscious Recycling Collections’ pledge with additional investment in not one but two new Euro 6 engine vehicles, with quieter bin lift technology, which have been deployed to service businesses across Liverpool and Manchester.

Carbon conscious Fresh Start Waste, who offer commercial waste collections with a recycling focus across the North West of England, have continued their ongoing pledge towards sustainable waste collections by investing in new Mercedes Econic trucks. The vehicles are some of the greenest solutions available on the market and the Euro 6 engines are fitted with Eco Delta Valves which enables the bin lift to work while the engine is in tick over mode, making for quieter collections which save up to 15% on fuel and subsequent emissions.

As part of their commitment to providing a sustainable waste management solution to businesses, Fresh Start have invested heavily in these energy efficient vehicles as well as technology to ensure route planning of collections are as efficient as possible, resulting in lower carbon output year on year.

The safety features on the vehicles protect cyclists and pedestrians alike, as they include low entry cabs with lower windows and 360-degree cameras for improved visibility. They also include a WABCO tailgate system which applies the brakes if anything is sensed behind the vehicle when reversing.
