Fresh Start Waste are continuing to enact their ‘Carbon Conscious Recycling Collections’ pledge with further investment in new Euro 6 engine vehicles, with quieter bin lift technology, that have been deployed to service business across Liverpool and Manchester.
Carbon conscious Fresh Start Waste, who offer commercial waste collections with a recycling focus across the North West of England, have continued their ongoing pledge towards sustainable waste collections by investing in new Mercedes Econic trucks. The vehicles are some of the greenest solutions available to buy and the Euro 6 engines are fitted with Eco Delta Valves which enables the bin lift to work while the engine is in tick over mode, making for quieter collections which save up to 15% on fuel and subsequent emissions.
As part of their commitment to providing a sustainable waste management solution to businesses, Fresh Start have invested heavily in these energy efficient vehicles as well as technology to ensure route planning of collections are as efficient as possible, resulting in lower carbon output year on year proportionately.
The safety features of the vehicles protect cyclists and pedestrians alike, as they include low entry cabs with lower windows and 360 degree cameras for improved visibility. They also include a WABCO tailgate system which applies the brakes if anything is sensed behind the vehicle when reversing.
Nicola McGrath, CEO of Fresh Start Waste said “As a family business who cares about our staff, our customers and the wider environment, we have always committed to investing in our fleet to ensure they offer as carbon minimal a service as possible. Despite the recent pandemic, our pledge to offering sustainable waste management solutions has not waned and we have continued to update and expand our fleet to minimise the carbon impact of the service we offer to businesses.”
