Introducing Fresh Start’s pocket battleship

Our wagons and bright orange bins are well-known features on the streets of Manchester and the North West but this one gives us the opportunity to do something a little different. And in this case, we really do mean ‘little.’

Our new arrival is by far the smallest truck in our yard, an Izusu 7.5 tonne tipper. It comes complete with a Tardis-like waste compartment on the back. It’s our very own versatile and speedy pocket battleship, which can boldly squeeze where no truck has gone before.

Immediately recognisable for its compact size and manoeuvrability, our latest addition will be taking on duties in our flagship Manchester city centre patch. As well as having regular waste collection routes, it will also become our rapid response unit, reacting to ad hoc jobs or emergencies in the area.

It is being named ‘Sean James’, after a loyal member of the Fresh Start family, and carries on our proud tradition of acknowledging the dedication and hard work of our employees by bestowing this ultimate accolade upon them.

After establishing Manchester’s first dedicated food waste service, weekend collections and plenty more innovations, Fresh Start have never been afraid to lead the line. We believe that the introduction of this state-of-the-art tipper will further cement our place as the North West’s leading independent waste contractor.
